PPM- Production Performance Management Research Group

The Production Performance Management Research Group, coordinated by Professor Dr. Luiz Cesar Ribeiro Carpinetti, is composed by professors, PhD. Students and MSc. Students in Production Engineering from the São Carlos School of Engineering of  University of São Paulo. The group’s activities consist of the development of research projects in conjunction with master’s and Phd projects, publications in specialized journals and congresses, and the provision of services to the community in the form of training and consulting projects.

Production Performance Management is recognized as an area of ​​knowledge and performance of strategic importance for improving competitiveness and business productivity. The research group currently focuses its efforts on intra- or interorganizational managerial decision-making problems in supply chains. To solve these decision-making problems, promising artificial intelligence techniques and application models are implemented by the group. The problems dealt with may be related to acquisition activities, resource management, risk management, among other demands of partners.
